Leckey Squiggles Early Activity System (EAS)
Squiggles Early Activity System (EAS) is a versatile positioning system to assist caregivers and therapist in helping children with special needs learn different developmental positions. Squiggles Early Activity System meets all the postural and comfort requirements of a seating system for young children. The EAS is a colorful set of flexible and versatile positional supports that can be secured onto a Velcro floor mat. The system comes with an easy-to-follow illustrated guide which shows a range of effective, best practice therapy activities that can be used by both therapists and families. The EAS helps develop key physical, sensory, cognitive and transitional developmental goals such as trunk control, head control, eye-hand coordination, spatial awareness, balance and strength. The Early Activity System includes a floor mat, sitting support, trunk wedge, head support, 2 positioning straps, 2 medium rolls, 2 small rolls and a carrying bag. The floor mat is machine washable and all other components are wipe clean.

Physical Development
Back lying strengthens neck, tummy, shoulder, and hip flexors as children lift their head, arms, and legs against gravity.
Cognitive Development:
Back lying is the initial stage for understanding cause and effect play.
Sensory Development
Back lying is the optimal position for children to focus their eyes.
Physical Development
Tummy lying strengthens the neck, shoulders, arms, and back, serving as a crucial foundation for transitioning to sitting.
Cognitive Development
Tummy lying promotes coordination between hands and eyes, fostering the emergence of spatial awareness.
Sensory Development
Tummy lying provides a sense of security while enhancing visual focusing and tracking.
Physical Development
Floor sitting stabilizes the pelvis and trunk, freeing the arms and hands for movement.
Cognitive Development
Floor sitting helps children realize their world is three-dimensional when they are upright.
Sensory Development
Floor sitting allows children to use their hands more freely, enabling them to explore a wider variety of objects.
Physical Development
Hands and knees position strengthens muscles as children support their body weight against gravity, aiding in movement.
Cognitive Development
Hands and knees position enhances spatial awareness by helping children understand the relationship between their body and their environment.
